A deep depression In the street, caused by the digging of a trench for water pipes, resulted in a painful accident, to Glenn of Filer. Mr. Glenn rode to the city to call Dr.

Pike to prescribe for a member of his Dr. Pike hastened away on horseback and Mr. Glenn, who had stopped for a purchase, was endeavoring to overtake him when his horse floundered In the trench and threw him. He was stunned by the fall and was taken to the office of Dr. Coburn, who revived Mnv after hard work.

William Mabbutt, who lives like a feudal lord of old on his ranch In the Devil's corral, one mile above Shoshone falls, on the north side of the river, brought a load of fresh vegetables Into the city on Saturday and disposed of It before he could turn around. Mr. Mabbutt is one of the pioneers who say little and saw much.

He has a farm In Shoshone and divides his time between that place and the corral. The Devil's corral Is one of the most picturesque gorges In America and when better known will be a favorite resort- It reached from this side by boat from the ferry. The postal service is advertising for' bids for the delivery of mall six days weekly from Twin Falls to Buhl and Filer. G.F. has moved his dental parlors to a splendid sujte of rooms above the postofflce. In the matter of furnishing and equipment Dr. Baker gave his artistic and professional tastes full swing, and to appreciate the good results personal inspection is necessary. Mr.

and Mrs. William F. Kelsey of Sprlngvllle, Utah, have arrived and are homebullding on Mr- Kelsey's farm north of Filer. Mr. Kelsey is an experienced Irrigator and has the reputation of being able to grow as fine a garden as anybody.

P. H. Smith Is back In the bosom of his family In Brooklyn, where he will probably remain for a couple of weeks. There is no doubt that Mr. Smith will be able to "take care of himself," even though he has been in the sagebrush for a whiles T.

E. West, recently from Oakley, -who laid a tin roof on the Snake River Implement Co. building, Is preparing to roof the Idaho Department store. Mr. West Is an expert roofer and a specialty: of tin, roofing, sheet Iron and cornice work.

He will probably open a shop in Twin Falls. Ralph Stevens and Miss Marie J. Clancy were married on Wednesday evening at the. residence of Mark Francisco by Rev. James Armstrong.

Only the immediate friends and relatives of the bridal couple were present. Mr.j and Mrs- Stevens have the best wishes of a wide circle of friends. Mr. and Mrs. J.

E. Metcalf, who recently arrived from Belllngham, and are living on their farmi two miles west of Flier, are receiving; congratulations on the birth of a daughter. They are thinking of nam-l ing her Minnehaha on account of the heavy fall of welcome rain followed her arrival. M. Musgrave has arrived from Montrose, Colorado, bringing with him a complete stock of clocks, watches and Jewelry which he la installing In the rooms formerly occupied by Hill Taylor In the Pike building.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen will remain in Twin Falls for a fortnight or so until the "Homeless Twenty" become reconciled to the Idea of Hill Taylor have moved Into their own building adjoining the Boyd block on Main street. They nave noi completed the furnishine of their new quarters, but when they do their rooms will be something to which they may "point with pride." One of the reaturea or their new omce is a vauu which was carefully constructed and win be a great convenience.

E. W. Davis has commenced work on the excavation for his building on Main street, opposite the Hotel Per rlne. Mr. Davis owns the lot next to the corner of Shoshone and he will erect a business structure 25x90 feet, two stories In height.

T. has arrived from Boise -and will make her home here In future. In recognition of her services to the temperance cause, she was pre sented with a cut glass water set by the Anti-Saloon league and the W. C. T.

U. She was also tendered a farewell reception last Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Nettle Chipp. W. C.

Cooper, formerly of Sprlngvllle, Utah, has arrived with his drug stock and fixtures which are being Placed in the Bradley Smith building on Main street, opposite the Perrlne. Mr. Cooper cast about for some time before deciding upon a new location and selected Twin Falls. He is one of a large number of Sprlngvllle citizens who are making their homes here. His new store will be open in about one week.
