Times-News Thursday, OcTOber 19, 2023 A5 00 1 OBITUARIES Elfreda (Parrott) Smith Aug. 31, 4, 2023 On October 4, 2023 with open arms, Jesus wel- comed Freda Smith home. She passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family. Freda resided at Brookdale Assisted living for the last three years. She was born August 31, 1940, to Alfred and Elsie Parrott.

Freda married Stanley Hostetler, with this union they had four daughters, Linda, Connie, Julie, and Karen. They were later di- vorced. FredamarriedLenMealer andhada were later divorced. She thenmarriedDarrel Smith, Smitty passed away inMay 2019. Freda was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred andElsieParrott andbrothers: Pat and sisters: Jewel Blades, RuthMarie Parrott.She is survivedbyher Featherston, and her 5 children: Linda (Steve)Maier Connie (Roger) Wiese Julie (Ed) Mills Karen (Adair) Johnson; and her son, Skott (Lorena) Mealer, she had 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Mom was a wonderful cook, every Sunday she had something in theoven ready to eat after Sundaymorn- ing church.Younever knewwhowas going to be at her table as she welcomed everyone. Everyone especially rolls andher soups. Many times, mom would bring her freshly made cin- namon rolls and sometimes the family would eat the middle and Smitty would eat the outsides. The family waitedby theovenwhile thedinner rollswere cooking, once out of the oven theywere gonebefore theyhit the table.Momwas such awonderful baker. Mominstilled inher childrenhow important serving Godwas, her children are at peace knowing that mom is inHeavenhaving a reunionwithhermomand family again.As per her and be laid to rest with dad at SunsetMemorial Park.

Loiswasa long-time res- identofTwinFalls.Shewas born in Kimberly, Idaho on October 28, 1935, and at- tended school in Kimberly through high school. Lois was a Bank Teller and started her career after high school at Twin Falls Bank and Trust Kimberly Branch. She then trans- ferred to Bank and Trust in TwinFalls.She laterworked at First SecurityBank and thenWells Fargo Bank until she retired in 2000. Lois attended schoolwith themanwhom shewould latermarry.Ronald JayGrovewas born inKimberly on August 26, 1934, andmarried Lois onAugust 29, 1956. Theymoved to Twin Falls to begin their lives together.

Lois lovedanimals.Shehadmanyanimalsduringher life.Theentire family enjoyed the time theyhadplaying with animals.Later in life she loved spending timewith her dog and cats. Lois loved the outdoors. She especially liked to go camping tripwith family.She also enjoyedwatching sports.She frequently attended basketball gamesatCollegeofSouthern Idaho.Shealso enjoyedwatching football and horse racing. Lois is survived by her son, Donald Grove (Ellen) of Salt she is survived byher grandsons: JerodAufderheide of Human of Twin Falls, Randall Grove of Salt Lake City, Boise and Erik W. Grove of Boise; she is also survived ginia andWhitney Owens of Wisconsin.

She also had six indeathby her husband, Ronald Grove of Twin Falls, her daugh- White of Kimberly, her father, Eugene White of Kim- sister, JunePetersonofTwinFalls, andbyher brother, JackWhite of Simi Valley, California. Jacqueline Jensen April 2, 10, 2023 TWIN FALLS Jacque- line Jensen passed away peacefully on Tues- day, October 10, 2023 at GraceMemoryCare inTwin Falls, ID.

Jackie was born April 2, 1932 to John Phillip and Evelyn (Christensen) Willoughby in Evanston, Wyoming. She attended school in Evanston, Wyoming and uating in 1950. One of her most cherished memories during her high school years, was becoming Honored Queen of the Daughters. During her senioryear, Jackie startedworkingatanautoparts store. On Jensen indeathon September 4, 2004.

Together they enjoyed 52 years of marriage.Theywereblessedwith4children—DeWayne, Rick, Jim andKaren. Shortly after they were married Willie was drafted into the Army and Jackie went to work as a telephone operator. In 1962, they moved to Buhl, ID and Jackie became a stay-at-homemom, but helpedWillie in his side business of Janitorial Service. In IDwhen health declined. She resided there until mov- ing intoGraceAssistedLiving inTwinFalls, IDandwas transferred to GraceMemoryCare earlier this year.

greatest joy was being around kids. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts, a Blue Fire Girls leader, and held various positions in the Buhl Daughters. She also enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, crocheting, cooking and reading. Jackie will always be remembered for being a giving person and taking care of others. Jackie is survivedbyher Hill of Provo, UT and Helen Shostakoski of Las Vegas, NV.

Her children: DeWayne Jensen of Kimberly, ID, Richard (Kathy) Jensen of Spring Creek, NV, James Jensen of (Dennis) Knapp of Buhl, ID. Her grandchildren: Chantal (Jerald) Robinson, Ja- cob (Shalyn) Jensen and Tosha Blair; her great-grand- children: Alessa Jensen, Keston Jensen, Christopher Fisher andMadison Fisher. A great-great-granddaughter, Ruby Robinson; andmany nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Services will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
